Runners Club
The
Hudson Mohawk Road Runners Club is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit
charitable organization incorporated in 1971 and currently has more than
2,000 members from throughout the Capital District.
HMRRC is one of the largest running clubs in the nation.
Since 1971, the HMRRC has relied on the GHI Workforce Team
Challenge as the Club’s major fund raiser to underwrite the club's
many activities and services including:
- Promotion of healthy lifestyles through exercise and
running
- 29 other running events a year, held at different locations
throughout the Capital Region, open to the public designed for runners
of all levels — from novices to veterans
- Inclusion of wheel-chair entrants in many club races
and activities
- Seminars and clinics for runners
- A Hall of Fame to recognize outstanding athletes in the
region
- Scholarships to College bound high school seniors
- An annual banquet to recognize outstanding athletes
- Special events to encourage children’s running
and conditioning
- A telephone Hot Line with up-to-date schedule of local
road races
- A website posting results of local road races and links
to helpful sites

- Delmar Dash
- Mother’s Day Race
- Father's Day Race
- GHI Workforce Team Challenge
- Master’s Championship
- European-style cross country race
- Pentathlon
- Annual Fall Mohawk Hudson River Marathon (20+ years)
- 15K Stockade-a-thon
- Winter Series — five races
- Summer Series — three races on the track
- Special events for children are also available at many
of these races
